As a veterinarian, I worked with pets and their people for 40 years. My patients taught me to care for their humans. Under the tag line of “Your Brain is a Border Collie!” I hold coaching/keynote seminars that blend the newest published brain science and pet analogies with the statistically validated system of human behavior called DISC. The DISC model of human behavior is a scientifically and statistically validated system that is very cut-to-the chase, easily learned and applied. It is strictly about externally observed behavior. It is not about beliefs, core values, education, gender or sexual identification, culture, intelligence or training. This system is not about who you are. It is about why you behave the way you do and how to connect to others that are different than you are.
These sessions (personal development, couples, family dynamics, small business teams, non-profit, educational and corporate work groups) bring knowledge that is easy to learn and quickly applied in an environment that shows people how to maximize their natural strengths and limit weaknesses in connecting to and working with people for career, family, fellowship and fun! Learning how to recognize these same strengths in others is a key to successful relationships. Successful relationships create business success. It is used across north America as a highly effective, strengths based tool for personal development, leadership training, team cohesiveness and as a key to effective sales and marketing by creating ‘sticky’ client relationships that last.
“Dr. J.” is a down-to-earth, tell-it-like-it-is and engaging speaker and trainer of humans, now that he has left his veterinary practice behind.
His “Waffle Wednesday” monthly presentations are not to be missed and his insights about human behaviour will help you both personally and professionally.
Let him show you how to train your brain to ‘come…sit…stay’ and succeed!
I’ve heard Doug speak numerous times and find his message very interesting and helpful. Listen for yourself by attending Waffle Wednesdays at ESS Direct the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
