I grew up on a farm, and was expected to help with chores soon after I was steady on my feet. My solid work ethic led me to a nearly 30 year career at Honda.

I was quiet and reserved…I didn’t say it, but I felt like something was missing for many years.

Over 10 years ago, I watched a movie called “The Secret.” Hearing the statement, “you can create your life by the way you think,” was the catalyst that began to change how I thought.

I fell in love with learning. I read and listened to everything I could access about new ways of thinking, how to be purposeful and live with intention; however, it was seven years before I acted on making changes to my life.

In 2013, I was learning about the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) while trying to adapt to a significant personal loss, and raise two teenagers as a single parent. EFT helped me work through my grief, and cope with the challenges of my new life.

I found a sense of belonging in a community of EFT practitioners; they gave me a tangible way to use my new skills to enrich my life.

I have lost many people in my life…applying my EFT training, I finally felt like I had the ability to deal with my emotions. I also became more outgoing; I was drawn to connecting with people, and compelled to share my discovery with others.

At 60, I left Honda, and committed to a new beginning as a Life Transition Coach; I plan to work with clients for many years.

With adequate support, losing a loved one, the end of a relationship, setting limits and other life changes can be navigated in a safe, emotionally healthy manner.

If you are interested in learning more about EFT or how support through a challenging time can help you or someone you care about, please connect with me.
